So we’re driving frantically towards Devonport, trying to make it to the hostel before 10pm which is when reception closes and Shane recalls that there is another stupid big thing along the side of the highway. Called “The Big Spud”, but looking more like a giant Mr Potato Head, how could we resist but to stop for a moment to take this snapshot, risking the real possibility this would mean we were sleeping outside that night!
